Cookies
What cookies are, which ones this site may use, and how you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. Related details are in our privacy notice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can be essential for basic functions or used to understand how pages are used.
Types we use
Essential — required to remember your cookie preference after you choose Accept or Reject, and to deliver basic site security. These do not require consent beyond what is needed to provide the service you request.
Analytics — optional measurement of page views and referral paths so we can improve content about internal control review. Analytics cookies load only if you press Accept on the banner.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| advancedwebservicesapp_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies | Until cleared (localStorage) | Advanced Web Services App |
| _ga / _ga_* | Distinguishes visitors for aggregate analytics (only if accepted) | Up to 24 months | Google Analytics (if enabled) |
| _gid | Distinguishes visitors for short-term analytics (only if accepted) | 24 hours | Google Analytics (if enabled) |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on our banner when it appears. Rejecting optional cookies does not block browsing, forms, or engagement pages. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which removes the stored preference and may show the banner again. Browser controls can block third-party cookies entirely.
Third-party cookies
If analytics are enabled after consent, Google may set cookies subject to its own policies. Embedded fonts from Google Fonts are typically requested without advertising cookies; network requests still occur to load typography.
Impact of disabling
Disabling essential preference storage may cause the banner to reappear. Disabling analytics only means we will not collect optional usage statistics; the site otherwise functions normally.
